How It Started
Long Island Curiosities was built on a simple belief: the best pieces deserve to be found, authenticated, and passed on to someone who truly appreciates them.
It started with a single estate sale in Huntington in the summer of 2004. We walked away with a tray of silver coins, a Victorian writing desk, and an obsession that never really let go.
What began as a weekend hobby became a full-time pursuit — scouring estate sales, auction houses, and private collections across Long Island and the greater Northeast, building the relationships and the eye that serious collecting demands.
Today, Long Island Curiosities is one of the region's most trusted sources for antiques, rare coins, trading cards, and quality collectibles. Every piece in the shop has been personally examined, researched, and priced with the integrity that collectors deserve.

Authenticity First
We never sell a piece we haven't personally examined. Every item is researched, and anything with provenance questions is disclosed — or doesn't make it to the floor.

We're collectors ourselves. That means we understand what you're looking for, we speak the language, and we price fairly — because we'd want the same.

We're not a flea market. We curate slowly and deliberately, which means when something arrives in our shop, it's worth your time to look at it.
